Drink Plenty of Water for the Game

Sometimes, a glass of water can make all the difference between being on top of your game and falling asleep at the mouse. Many people start to fall asleep because they are partially dehydrated. Drinking a glass of water will wake your body up, especially if you did a slight workout before sitting down to play.

Epic hydration can appear in the form of the following:

Adding fresh fruit or veggies to the water

Using flavor packets to make it more interesting

      Carbonate it

Mix in a splash of juice

Drink at least one glass of water with every meal

Before an esport event, ensure you hydrate yourself. In fact, one of the first things you do when waking up is to drink a full glass of water. It might be tempting to start with coffee, but water will keep you far more hydrated and wake you up in the long run.

Get Enough Sleep First - Naps Aren’t an Option

As any excellent player knows, sleep isn’t an option in the middle of a tournament. If you set yourself up for a nap in the middle of an event, you will be drowsy and unprepared to act in situations that require fast thinking. Instead, ensure you get ample sleep in at least the few days leading up to the event.

Here are some scientific ways to sleep better:

Get no more than eight hours of sleep and no less than six

Don’t go to bed hungry or super full

      Take minimal daytime naps

      Make your sleeping environment restful

Participate in physical activity during the day

Try not to worry and seek treatment for anxiety

These can ensure your night of sleep is restful and satisfying. If you get a good night of sleep, feeling tired during your esports tournament won’t be nearly as much of a problem. Try to get your sleeping schedule in line far ahead of the event to be rested and ready to go.

Spend Time in the Sun

Our bodies are made to function along with the natural rotation of the planet, so it’s vital to wake up. When you’re inside all day for an esports tournament, your body could get confused and think it’s nighttime. Take a break, when possible, from your game and step outside to remind your body that it's still the day.

Not only will the sun wake you up, but it will also help you fall asleep better when it’s time to head home after some hard-won gaming. The sun is a natural charger you always have access to until the sun sets.

Know Your Ever-Important Circadian Rhythm

Another way to ensure you remain awake and alert for your esports event is to get in touch with your circadian rhythm. That might mean adding healthy things to your life to ensure you sleep when it’s time to sleep, and you’re awake when it’s time to win a gaming competition.

Here are some tactics for an effective stabilization of your circadian rhythm:

Have a regular time when you eat meals

Keep away from regular daytime naps

Keep your technology exposure in check

      Have a regular bedtime routine

      Perform consistent physical activity

Refrain from alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, and medicine close to bed

A healthy circadian rhythm means a body far better equipped to make it through the day without falling asleep. If you want to be alert and ready to tackle the esport competition, every little detail for your circadian rhythm matters.

Get Fit for the Challenge

Another excellent way to keep alert and combat fatigue is to lose weight and get in shape. If you have too much on your bones, your body must work that much harder to move blood and oxygen throughout the body. Your heart is put under more strain. If you lose weight, you’ll gain almost instant energy.

Also, try to work out for at least fifteen minutes a day. Although exercising will make you tired right away, it will build your stamina for the long haul. Ideally, professional esports players should be doing at least two and a half hours of moderate aerobic activity a week.

Avoid Caffeine for the Ultimate Boost

Although caffeine is the ultimate way to start the morning, it will lead to quick drops in energy throughout the day. Caffeine is a stimulant, which will keep you awake sometimes but also interrupt your regular sleeping experience and make you tired when it’s time to be active and alert for the rest of the competition.

Items to avoid before bedtime include the following:

      Tea

      Coffee

      Energy drinks

      Fizzy drinks

      Herbal remedies/painkillers

Don’t have these anytime close to bedtime. For many people, caffeine can last for seven hours in the body. That means it shouldn’t be enjoyed up to seven hours before bedtime. A good night’s sleep can make a significant difference at an esports tournament.

Hit An Epic Gamer Pose

Let’s say you’re in the middle of the competition and are feeling tired. If you have a moment to break, stand up and hit an epic gamer pose. Although it might seem silly, get up and move around. Stretch your body and get into a different position. It will make your body feel far more alive.

The goal of striking a pose and moving around is to get the blood to your brain and muscles. If you relieve tension, it will help you feel far more energized and push you into a major comeback for the rest of your esport competition.
