Everything You Need to Know About Consensus 2025
We are only about 40 days from cryptocurrency’s biggest yearly event, Consensus. But if you have never been to this event, you may be wondering what it is, when it is, and how you can attend.
We’ve gathered all the information that you need to attend Consensus 2025 and even added bonus information about their Hong Kong event this past February. Keep reading to learn more!
What is Consensus?
Consensus was called the “Super Bowl of Blockchain” by Forbes, and we find this to be an accurate title. Consensus is the one time a year that all of the big players in blockchain come together for a massive event.
Representatives in cryptocurrency from over 100 countries are present, as well as numerous individuals who are invested in blockchain. With a combination of seminars and events, all crypto themed, not only is this a learning event, but it is also an opportunity for many cryptocurrency businesses to further their reach.
When is Consensus 2025?
Consensus 2025 will take place May 14-16, 2025.
Where is Consensus 2025?
The main Consensus event will take place in Toronto, Canada, though there was an additional event in Hong Kong in February. Of course, this event has already passed, but it gives us a good idea of the direction the main event will head!
How Much Are Consensus 2025 Tickets?
Attending Consensus 2025 is sadly not cheap. The startup pass, which is the lowest level pass available is $750 ($950 without the discount) for all three days, but it does include 3 tickets. Do note that the startup ticket package is only for those who have an active blockchain startup that they are planning to pitch or exhibit. If you are just wanting to attend as a cryptocurrency enthusiast, you must purchase the pro pass.

This isn’t the highest ticket package available, though, and for a cool $9,000 USD, you can purchase the Piranha Pass, which includes VIP access and reserved seating for the entire event. Do note there are currently discounts for those who need to buy more than 5 tickets.

What Events Are There at Consensus 2025?
As we mentioned, this event combines events with speakers, and the events are a fun way to experience cryptocurrency hands-on. Below are the major events being hosted in 2025.
1. CoinDesk PitchFest
Have an idea for a cryptocurrency business or platform? You can pitch it to investors via the CoinDesk PitchFest. You do have to apply in advance, before April 20, if you plan to pitch. Also be prepared, as the PitchFest is staged as an online battle, and it will happen live.
2. EasyA Hackathon
The EasyA Hackathon is a unique opportunity for individuals to pitch their blockchain platform idea to a floor of 700+ blockchain developers. The winners of the hackathon will receive funding and support for their project. Like the PitchFest, you must register in advance for the Hackathon, and the deadline for this is tomorrow, April 4th, so don’t delay if you want to apply!
3. Wealth Management Day
Wealth Management Day will take place on May 15th, 2025, and it is designed for individuals who are in the wealth management side of cryptocurrency. This event will help attendees to gain the knowledge they need to advise others on cryptocurrency and blockchain-based investments.
The caveat is you must currently be in wealth management to apply, with proof of your activities. Like the other events on this list, you must apply, but we aren’t sure if there is a deadline to do so as it isn’t listed on the website.

How Many People Attend Consensus 2025?
Since tickets are still in the early stages of sales, we cannot gauge for certain how many individuals will attend Consensus 2025. But the event itself estimates that there will be at least 20,000 attendees.
We took a look at the previous event in Hong Kong in 2025 and found there were over 10,000 attendees. Keep in mind that this event was in Hong Kong which can be difficult for some individuals to travel to, so we expect the Toronto event to exceed these numbers by a long shot.
Overall, there is no better cryptocurrency event than Consensus 2025. So, if you love all things crypto, or want to pitch your project to potential investors, buy tickets to Consensus 2025 today!
